At Melodia House Appartment we have taken into consideration all aspects regarding your health safety during your stay.

Fire Fighting Precautions

Under kitchen's sink there is a powder fire extinquisher ready for use. Powder fire extinguishers are used for fighting burning solids, liquids and gases (Class A, B and C fires) also in case there's electricity contact within.

A Fire Blanket is also located under the sink for use in kitchens and around the home, for starting fires. Just pull the straps and cover the starting fire prior the use of extinquisher.

Fire Safety Equipment Under the Sink

In the kithen there's also a smoke detector. In case that the alarm sounds, try to locate source of smoke, and the use the proper fire fighting equipment. In case that ther was a fault alarm, press the reset button for 5 seconds (use the stairway available outside with caution).

Firt Aid Kit

First Aid Kit is located in the cabinet above kitchen stove. You can find all the essential paramedics for the provision of first aid. If you are unsure on how to use the equipment please ask for help by calling 112 (European Emergency Phone) or to the nearest pharmacy which is located 50 meters away from the appartment.

Arrival at Melodia House

How to arrive Melodia House is located at 63 El. Venizelou str, at the centre of Kavala. The part of Venizelou street is one way road, and very tight in parking here are some tips to help you during your arrival. Right opposite the school there's an open paid parking lot named Agios Ioannis. If you find space to park your car there, the appartmnet is only 50 meters away. Otherwise you can look for parking on the street side but you have to be really lucky. You will also pass by the Municipal Conservatory, a unique landmark for the city, and an architectural marvel. If you see it and admire it, be sure that you almost reached Melodia House. The main entrance of the building is located right next to the cozy bookstore. It is a white door, with signs on the left. Heating Water, Bath, Hair and Iron

Hot water can be used anywhere in the house (kitchen faucet, and bathroom) but since we are verey consistent on saving environment, therfore it is advisable to use resources (water and energy) wisely. In case you need to heat the water for shower or washing the dish, you need to go to the main electric switch board. Open the cover and at your right hand check the following switch. Heating Water Switch Just push the START button and the boiler will start working. It is adjusted to operate for a specific time so, there's no need to push stop . Please do not make any adjustments on timing by yourself as it can cause problem to main CPU. Heating the Bathroom If you feel a little bit cold prior having a shower, you may heat the bathroom and enjoy not only a warm and relaxing shower under the hot water but a warm bathroom also.
